The following texts are a running commentary of our experiences and are really intended for web masters / web designers, etc. however do read our opinions if you feel they are relevant.

Byethost, or simply Byet also operate 101Host and have many "name games", offer competative hosting prices - their server speed and server configurations are good, and during our one year with them we did not experience any problems whatsoever. The problem with Byet is not their system, it is the people that work there. The owners seem to change their ideas frequently as to how to be "profitable" and as such they do so without any advice or warnings. What happened to us is that Byet decided to drop PayPal as a payment method without any advice whatsoever, and instead they introduced a payment clearing house known as 2CO who do NOT accept PayPal. As a result, although we were ready willing and able to pay our continued hosting account we could not do so without PayPal. Complaints to Byet only produced a fraudulent dialog that to continue with their services we should now pay through 2CO, who incidently are more expensive than PayPal, and even apart from that, who the hell is 2CO? Byet has lost 1,000's of websites as a result of this attitude - Do they care? No, it seems not!

Conclusion - Good hosting servers spoiled by greedy owners/administrators

Chimehost.com

Relative newcomers on the block so you won't find much about them on the internet. Good prices, good user interface, etc. but while they "try" to be good hosts the truth is they fall sadly short.

Chimehost Sucks - Bigtime

Now Chimehost are deleting on a daily basis important core files of the Coppermine Picture Gallery to put our website offline. They have been advised several times but not responded. In all other attemps to communicate with them we have recieved plain lies as answers. We consider their actions "sabotage" or outright incompetance and we are considering reporting this and their other activities to the US Better Business Bureau for "Deceptive Business Activities" and we intend to fight them legally for a full refund.

Conclusion - Don't even bother - Renegades & Thieves

Our opinion, which is not only related to the above experiences, leads us to state the following - Avoid USA servers/hosts - They are technologically incompetent and riddled with DMCA problems, and as most of you well know by now, laws such as SOPA and PIPA, that are designed by ancient US beaurocratic money grabbing idiots who have absolutely no idea what the internet is, are applied to all servers/hosts/websites operating in the USA.
